This is my greyhound story.....I had always had two dogs at a time, and had a senior mixed breed who was 15 yrs old and an 8 yr old cocker spaniel.  Due to the age of my senior, I decided to start researching greyhounds and thru someone I worked with at the time, I came upon the group I currently volunteer for.  Very unexpectedly, my cocker spaniel became ill with leukemia and I lost him in December of 2000, I missed him so terribly that I begged my husband to agree to adopt a greyhound.  He decided to give this breed a try, and brought Buddy (center one in the pic on webpage) home to foster one day  in late January, 2001 as a surprise for me.  Within one week, Buddy was officially our first greyhound, he was 3 1/2 yrs old (he will be 11 yrs. old in April, 2008) and quickly became my constant companion and my heart dog.  We started fostering for our group in about 3 mos after adopting Buddy, thus entered Roulette ( to Buddy's right in the pic on webpage) she was only 22 mos when she came offtrack, and just turned 8 yrs old this past December, 2007.  Misty (on Buddy's left in the pic on webpage) was 26 mos old when we adopted her and just turned 6 yrs old in November, 2007.  My greyhounds have helped me thru some very rough years emotionally, as I lost both my parents over the last 5 yrs, and also my marriage of 32 yrs to divorce.  If it were not for my greys, my kids and grandkids, and my volunteer work with my greyhound rescue group, I am sure I would not be here today.  I also added a new family member this past July, 2007, when I adopted Chase, a whippet...also  a rescue from a show breeder who deemed him NOT show quality, he was 3 yrs old in August, 2007.  He has quite a Napoleon complex, but quickly learned that he is NOT the top dog in this house....

I started sewing greyhound coats out of necessity, as I could not afford to purchase coats for all my greys.  The coats you see on this website are my own design and quite simple to put on and take off.  Due to adopting Chase, I have added a line of whippet sized coats also.  I hope you like what you see and if you have any questions, feel free to email me and I will answer you as soon as I am able.
